2026 Eagle Project
Turn your visit to Congress Springs Park into a real-world treasure hunt! This Geocaching Trail combines outdoor adventure, navigation, and discovery. Using GPS coordinates and clues, you’ll search for five hidden virtual geocaches placed throughout the park. Each geocache is a small hidden QR code—when you find one, scan it to unlock fun facts about the science and nature all around you.
Whether you're a first-time explorer, a family with young kids, or an experienced geocacher, we hope this trail helps you see the park in a whole new way.
What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting activity enjoyed by millions of people around the world. In a traditional geocache, participants use GPS coordinates and clues to locate a hidden physical container, often called a cache. Inside, there may be:
A small logbook to sign
Tiny treasures or trinkets
A surprise left by previous explorers
The challenge is to use navigation skills, observation, and a little patience to find it!
What Makes This Geocaching Trail Different?
This is a virtual geocaching trail, designed especially for Congress Springs Park. Instead of searching for a hidden container, you’ll be looking for hidden QR code tags placed in carefully selected locations around the park.
When you find a QR tag, you can:
✅ Scan it with your phone
✅ Discover fun facts about the park
✅ Log your find online
It’s like a treasure hunt—with surprises at every stop!
