Welcome to T-Social. We’re committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, share, and retain data. This policy applies to all users of our mobile application (“App”) and explains our practices in clear, simple language.
1) Information We Collect
We collect only the personal details you provide when creating an account, including:
We collect only the personal details that users voluntarily provide during account creation, including name, job title, city, favorite song, pronouns, profile photograph, and email address for verification and support purposes.
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as financial information, health records, or biometric identifiers beyond the scope of AR filter functionality
After completing question prompts, users can take selfies together using AR filters powered by Metal/ARKit.
When a user engages an AR filter, we collect the required face data [Facial geometry] using iOS’s TrueDepth API solely to render masks and effects in real time.
All TrueDepth analytics are performed on-device and discarded immediately after each frame renders; no raw depth maps, mesh data, or blend-shape values are persisted or transmitted. The face data is not disclosed or shared with any third party or our backend servers.
After completing question prompts, users can take selfies and photos together. These are user-generated images (“Photos”).
When a user opts to upload a filtered selfie to the event feed, we collect and store only the final composite RGB image they explicitly choose; we do not transmit live camera streams, raw TrueDepth sensor data, or any face-tracking metadata.
We request only the NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription permission to write these images to the user’s library and do not read or access any existing photos
2) How we use your data
Personal Profile: We display collected profile information (name, title, city, pronouns, favorite song, and profile photo) exclusively within the app to facilitate social matching among authenticated participants
AR Face Filters: All TrueDepth-derived face data is processed locally on the user’s device to render AR face filters and expression-driven animations; under no circumstances is this biometric data transmitted to our servers or third parties
Account Management: Verify your identity, send transactional emails, and provide customer support
3) Photos & AR-Filter Data
We collect only the final photo you save; we do not upload or store any raw camera, depth, or blend-shape data beyond frame rendering.
Photos are used solely for:
Displaying within the App gallery for event participants.
Enabling you to share with others via in-App features if you choose
4) Storage, Retention & Deletion
Saved Photos are encrypted and stored in Google Cloud Storage, in a region compliant with relevant data-protection laws.
Photos are automatically deleted 30 days after each event concludes, in line with data-retention best practices to minimize risk.
After the retention period, all copies of your Photos are permanently removed from storage and cannot be recovered.
5) Sharing & Third Parties
We do not share any personal information or Photos with third-party advertisers, analytics vendors, or partners.
Access to Photos in Google Cloud Storage is strictly limited to our App backend; no external service has access.
