You can install T NFC KEY or T BLE KEY on your Wear OS smartwatch in two ways:

Option 1 – Using the Companion App on Your Phone

1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone.

2. Search for "T NFC KEY Companion" and tap Install.

3. Make sure your smartwatch is connected to your phone.

   • You should see "Connected" in green in the companion app.

4. Choose the app you want to install:

   • T NFC KEY — NFC only, tap your watch to unlock your Tesla.

   • T BLE KEY — BLE + NFC, Bluetooth-based digital key with passive entry.

5. Tap the red "Install on Watch" button under your chosen app.

Option 2 – Directly on Your Smartwatch

1. Open the Google Play Store on your Wear OS smartwatch.

2. Search for "T NFC KEY" or "T BLE KEY".

3. Tap Install on the app you want.

💡 You can install both apps — they coexist on your watch and each requires its own one-time purchase.

Setting Up T NFC KEY (NFC Only)

1. In your Tesla, go to: Controls → Locks → Add Key

2. Open the T NFC KEY app on your smartwatch.

3. Hold your watch close to the car's NFC reader:

   • Tesla Model 3/Y 2024: Behind the cup holders

   • Tesla Model 3/Y 2025: Left wireless charger

4. Wait for vibration or confirmation on your watch.

5. Remove your watch from the reader once confirmed.

6. Approve the pairing using your existing Tesla key card if prompted.

Setting Up T BLE KEY (BLE + NFC)

1. Open the T BLE KEY app on your smartwatch.

2. Tap ⚙ on the main screen.

3. Tap "Scan for Tesla" and select your car.

4. Tap "Add Key to Tesla" — the key is enrolled automatically over Bluetooth. Then confirm the pairing by tapping your existing Tesla key card when prompted.

💡 Not sure which app you have? Check your watch — T NFC KEY has a simple tap-to-unlock screen, while T BLE KEY has a ⚙ settings button on the main screen.

No. Once the key is set up, the watch app works 100% offline, just like your Tesla key card.

No. As long as your watch is unlocked and worn on your wrist, the NFC chip stays active in the background. Simply hold your watch to your Tesla's B-pillar to lock or unlock — the screen does not need to be on. This applies to both T NFC KEY and T BLE KEY.

Yes. This app is just a helper installer. Once the watch app is working, you can delete the phone app.

You do NOT need to pay again.
This is a security check by Google to verify that the app was installed from a legitimate source.
Simply connect your watch to the internet (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth) close and reopen the app to clear the message.
