Hi there!
This is Maruf—a researcher driven by curiosity, creativity, and a desire to make a meaningful impact. My story weaves together the fascinating worlds of genetics and data, fueled by a passion for turning ideas into solutions.
My academic journey began at Bangladesh Agricultural University, where I immersed myself in the fascinating world of genetics and genomics. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry (Hons.), followed by an MS in Animal Breeding and Genetics. As a Graduate Research Assistant in the Animal Genomics & Breeding Lab, I explored molecular marker-based selection across species, uncovering insights that fueled my love for innovation.
In 2023, I embraced a new adventure and moved to the United States, joining the University of Missouri-Columbia as a Research Specialist II at the NexGen Precision Health Building under the School of Medicine. Here, I stepped into the world of health informatics, where data becomes a tool for improving patient care and advancing medical breakthroughs. This transformative role confirmed my belief that technology and biology are strongest when they work together.
Beyond the lab, I’ve been fortunate to lead and collaborate in various volunteer roles, nurturing skills that help me thrive in diverse and dynamic environments. Today, my focus lies in health informatics, blending my expertise in genetics and informatics to explore innovative ways to improve lives.
Welcome to my corner of the web—a space where science meets storytelling, and ideas spark innovation. Let’s connect, collaborate, and create solutions for a healthier future!
