Eszter grew up in a small Hungarian county, where she encountered the harsh realities of country life early on: hard work, with limited opportunities and being surrounded by poverty and nature. To escape the monotone, and suffocating atmosphere of her surroundings she tried to focus on the little miracles of everyday life - which became the core inspiration for her artwork.
Although she experimented with various medium and art forms, including graphic design and digital art, Eszter found that she is most comfortable expressing herself through her oil paintings. Expressing her emotions through colors, gestures and heavy brush strokes she tends to create pieces that lean close to impressionism. She hopes that by looking at her artwork others can also feel a sense of joy and happiness, no matter how hard their day has been.
In her future work, Eszter also hopes to explore the everyday life of small towns and reflect on the similarities and differences she encountered while living in the capital city. She is also interested in exploring more introspective themes related to mental health, drawing from both personal experience and from the experience of those close to her.
The name chosen for displaying her artwork "színvesztő" is a made-up word. Szín means color and vesztő is not something that is commonly used by itself. It is usually a part of the word útvesztő which refers to a maze or labyrinth, with the literal meaning of: út (road) and vesztő (something that is being lost). Színvesztő (a place where color is being lost) stands in contrast with her colorful artwork; as everyday life tries to become dull and turn to a monotone grey, she defiantly holds onto color, refusing to let it get lost.
