SynthTouch

SynthTouch is an Android app for sound modulation

SynthTouch is a music app that runs on your mobile device. Sound is generated by playing back an audio wave through the device speakers. Different properties, such as tones and volumes, are manipulated through interaction with the user interface. Sound properties are manipulated through a ball that the user is free to move within the bounds of the screen, subject to physics effects such as accelerometer gravity, edge-bouncing, and inertial decay. Currently, SynthTouch supports touch and drag gestures to move the ball across the screen, as well as tilting the screen to simulate the effects of gravity.

We are creating a working music app that can be used by anyone ranging from children to music producers.

Our output sound can be connected to a computer and then modulated even further by using other tools.
