About Me

I am working as a Process Engineer at Black & Veatch (BV). As a process engineer, I perform evaluations of a wide range of processes, i.e., aeration, filtration, disinfection, biosolids, water reuse, PFAS treatment, wet weather treatment etc. I am also conducting research on the environmental impact of biological treatment. As a next step towards professional development, I passed the Environmental Engineering PE test in 2023. I am excitedly looking forward to getting the PE license in January 2025 after I meet the experience requirements.

Before joining BV, I conducted research in electrochemical technology development for PFAS treatment at Phosphorus Free Water Solutions (now Nuquatic). I earned my PhD degree in Environmental Engineering at Marquette University. For my PhD dissertation, I worked on recalcitrant nutrient treatment through electrochemical transformation and adsorption on a novel biomaterial. My research interest encompasses sustainable water treatment, resource recovery, physical-chemical treatment processes, and micropollutants.
