Hair and Make-Up:
Hair should be pulled back off the face and out of the dancer’s eyes.
Hair pieces should be securely fastened and in the proper placement.
We encourage a light amount of make-up so the dancers do not look washed out on stage. Light blush, neutral eye shadow, mascara and a little lipstick would be great.
Costumes, Shoes and Tights:
Use your costume checklists to be sure you have all costumes and accessories (shoe bows, hair pieces, etc.), tights, and shoes.
Tights should be free of holes and runs. If you would like a back up pair of tights we have them available for purchase in the Synergy Store.
All items including shoes, tights and costumes should be labeled with the dancer’s name or initials on them and covered to protect them from the elements.
Additional Costume Guidelines:
No jewelry other than earrings purchased in the Synergy Store or items received with costumes should be worn. (Small stud type earrings are acceptable).
Please remove all finger and toenail polish as well as temporary tattoos before recital.
No underwear is to be worn with costumes. Tights serve the purpose of underwear with costumes.
Tan or Nude colored body suits are available for purchase in the Synergy Store. These make changing costumes an easy transition and provide coverage for the more modest dancer
