Synergy Student Group Leader Info & Expectations

How Small Groups Will Work:

• Lessons will include about 20 minutes of teaching followed by small groups.

• Groups will split by gender and grade. Each group will have a few student leaders and adult leaders.

  • We have multiple student leaders in each group so groups can continue even if somebody has to miss AND so groups can split if they get too big. 

  • ​​If someone came with a friend in a different group, they are welcome to join their friend’s group.

  • If your group reaches around 10 people, please split into two groups.

  • Student leaders will lead the discussion, adults are there to help and maybe answer a few direct questions.

• We will have assigned spots in the sanctuary so everyone knows where to go (please don’t ask to leave the sanctuary with your group).

• Try to finish praying together by 8:10 PM. If your conversation continues after that, that’s okay — just try not to keep parents waiting.

• Phone bins will be available when we first enter the sanctuary. Adult leaders can take them to the group area when we split up.

NOTE: I hope to start using some 11th & 12th graders to occasionally lead starting in October!

Things to Do Ahead of Time

• We will use the Planning Center app to know who is able to make it each week. Please send me your email address if you don’t already use Planning Center.

• You will get small group questions on Tuesdays. Please read these over and intentionally pray for your small group!
