INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains what data SyncDay collects, why, and what choices you have. SyncDay does not sell your data or share it for advertising purposes, and does not include third-party advertising SDKs.
DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY
Account (email): to create and secure your account, via Firebase Authentication. We never see your raw password.
Calendar events: SyncDay reads your device calendar to build your daily timeline, detect free windows, and calculate departure times. If you create an event from inside SyncDay, it is written to your calendar the same way any calendar app would.
Location: used only to calculate live traffic and travel time to your next event, and to show local weather. Location is not stored on our servers.
Health data (steps, sleep, heart rate, active calories): read from Apple Health, with your permission, to power habits, wellness scores, and the Pulse readiness score. This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Habits, tasks, and water intake you create: stored to power streaks, statistics, and reminders, and synced across your devices via Firebase. Focus session data is stored only on your device and is not synced or uploaded.
Food photos (Nutrition scanner): only accessed when you actively choose to log a meal with the camera.
Purchases (Premium subscription): processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. SyncDay never sees or stores your payment details, only whether you have an active subscription.
Local notifications: reminders, departure alerts and daily briefings are scheduled and delivered directly by your own device.
On-device AI insights: the AI Coach feature uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models (where supported) to generate insights from your data. This processing happens entirely on your device; nothing is sent to a SyncDay server for this feature.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
To provide the app's core features: your daily timeline, departure alerts, habits, nutrition log, and Focus sessions.
To sync your data across your devices, if you are signed in.
To manage your account and your Premium subscription entitlement.
To send the local reminders and alerts you configure.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH
Firebase / Google Cloud, which hosts our database and account authentication as a data processor.
Apple, which processes in-app purchases and subscriptions, and provides HealthKit, Calendar, Weather, and on-device AI frameworks.
If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SyncDay or our users.
We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
Your account data is stored on Google's Firebase platform and encrypted in transit. Health and location data are processed on your device and are not routinely uploaded to our servers. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
SyncDay is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at rubenmerced10@gmail.com and we will address it promptly.
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Revoke Calendar, Health, or Location permissions at any time from your device Settings.
Request a copy or deletion of your account data by emailing rubenmerced10@gmail.com.
Delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app or by contacting us.
We retain your data while your account is active. If you request deletion, we remove your personal data from our active systems, except where we must retain limited records for legal or Apple subscription purposes.
INTERNATIONAL USERS
SyncDay is available in multiple languages and countries. Your account data is processed on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may store or process data outside your country of residence.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy as SyncDay evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do, and make a reasonable effort to notify you inside the app for significant changes.
