SyrupyGames ("we," "our," or "us") built the Sync - Sink companion app as a Free companion app. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is. To enable the game's core motion-control and local multiplayer mechanics, the app requests specific permissions. All data processed through these permissions stays strictly on your device or your local Wi-Fi network:
Camera Access (QR Code Scanning): The app requires access to your device's camera solely to scan the server's QR code displayed on the main game screen. This allows your mobile device to automatically fetch connection details and pair as a controller. Camera data is processed entirely in real-time on-device, and the app never records, saves, or transmits video or photo files off your device.
Device Sensors (Gyroscope / Accelerometer): The app reads your device's motion data in real-time to translate physical tilt into game controls. This data is processed ephemerally (momentarily) and is never saved or logged.
Local Network / Wi-Fi State: The app uses local networking capabilities solely to detect and connect your mobile device to the main game screen on the same network. No data is sent over the wider internet.
