Sustainable microbe-based retrobiosynthesis for next level biomolecule engineering
Synthetic Biology & Retrobiosynthesis Laboratory (SBRL) synergizes systems biology and synthetic biology to unlock the full genetic potential of microbes. By reprogramming biological networks and machinery, we engineer diverse microbial platforms for sustainable production of unnatural molecules with broad industrial and societal value.
Leveraging AI driven design and an automation powered biofoundry, we accelerate strain development through an integrated Design-Build-Test-Learn cycle. Ultimately, SBRL aims to create metabolic platforms that go beyond nature and produce new-to-nature compounds spanning the full spectrum of white, red, and green bio industries.
