This Privacy Policy explains how Synaptic Interactive collects, uses, and protects information when you play NullSpace on Meta Quest.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Player Data (via PlayFab) We use Microsoft Azure PlayFab as our backend game services provider. Through PlayFab, we collect and store:

• A unique player/account identifier

• In-game progress, statistics, and gameplay history

• Virtual currency balances and in-game item/inventory data

• Moderation-related data (e.g., reports, flags, or violations) used to enforce our Terms & Conditions, including issuing bans or suspensions for cheating, exploiting, or abusive behavior

Meta Platform User ID NullSpace uses your Meta user ID solely to verify that you are playing on a legitimate, authorized Meta Quest device and account. This helps us prevent cheating, account spoofing, and unauthorized access to online features. We do not use your Meta user ID for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not access your Meta profile information beyond what is needed for this verification.

In-App Purchase Data If you make an in-app purchase, transaction processing is handled by the Meta Quest Store. We receive confirmation that a purchase was completed (so we can grant you the corresponding in-game goods or currency), but we do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information — that is handled entirely by Meta.

What We Do NOT Collect We do not collect or store your IP address. We do not collect your real name, physical address, or financial/payment information. We do not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is described in this policy.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Save and sync your game progress, virtual currency, and in-game items across sessions

• Verify that you are a legitimate Meta Quest user and protect against cheating, exploits, and account abuse

• Detect violations of our Terms & Conditions and apply enforcement actions, including temporary suspensions or permanent bans

• Process and deliver in-game goods or currency purchased through in-app purchases

• Maintain leaderboards or other online features (if applicable)

• Diagnose bugs and improve game design and balance

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

PlayFab (Microsoft Azure) PlayFab stores and processes player account data, in-game currency, inventory, and moderation/ban data on our behalf. PlayFab's handling of this data is governed by Microsoft's privacy and data protection practices.

Meta Platform Services Meta provides account verification (Meta user ID), the Meta Quest Store, and in-app purchase processing. Meta's collection and use of your information through these services is governed by Meta's own privacy policy, which we do not control.

4. In-Game Goods & Virtual Currency

In-app purchases in NullSpace are used exclusively to acquire in-game goods and/or virtual currency. These items have no real-world cash value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and are non-transferable outside the Game. Your virtual currency and item balances are tied to your account and stored via PlayFab.

5. Bans & Enforcement

To maintain fair play, we use PlayFab's moderation tools to track reports of cheating, exploiting, or abusive behavior, and to issue temporary or permanent bans when our Terms & Conditions are violated. Ban/enforcement records are tied to your account identifier and Meta user ID and are retained as needed to enforce these actions and prevent repeat offenses (e.g., to prevent banned accounts from rejoining under a new account on the same device).

6. Data Sharing

We do not share or sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with the service providers described in this policy (PlayFab, Meta) as needed to operate the Game, or if required by law.

7. Data Retention

We retain account, currency, inventory, and moderation data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to enforce bans and prevent abuse. You may request deletion of your account data at any time (see Section 9).

8. Children's Privacy

NullSpace is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the account and gameplay data described above. Meta Quest devices have their own age requirements and parental controls — please refer to Meta's policies for account-level protections.

9. Your Choices & Rights

All users, regardless of location, may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their account data (including PlayFab account, progress, currency, and inventory data) at any time. To make a request, contact us at the email below, and we will process it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may also have additional statutory rights. If you are located in the EU/UK, you may have rights under the GDPR. If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA. These regional rights are in addition to, and do not limit, the universal deletion right described above.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
