Symptlify – Your Gut Diary (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use our app:

• Account Information: your email address (required for authentication via magic link sign-in) and a unique identifier generated by Supabase to associate your data with your account. We use your email address only for authentication purposes. We do not send marketing emails or share your email with third parties.

• Health Information: user-entered data such as symptoms and meals logs.

• Device Information: app version, device type, and usage data (for analytics and app improvement).

• Payment & Subscription Information: If you subscribe to Symptlify Pro, your purchase is processed through Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to manage subscriptions. We do not directly collect or store your credit card or payment details—these are handled securely by the respective app stores.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the core functionality of the app (symptom and meal tracking).

• Authenticate your account using secure magic link sign-in sent to your email address.

• Improve app performance and reliability.

• Process and manage your subscription status and entitlements.

• Send optional notifications (which you can disable in settings).

We do not share or sell your data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored securely with Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption (in transit and at rest).

• We retain backups for up to 90 days for security and recovery purposes. These backups are automatically erased after that period.

• Your data may be processed in secure data centers located globally.

• We use RevenueCat to manage subscription and purchase verification. RevenueCat may receive a user identifier and purchase data from the app stores. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

4. Your Rights

You can:

• Access or export your data: request a copy of your logged information by contacting us.

• Delete your data: you can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us or using the Account Deletion Page. Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our active systems, with backups erased within 90 days.

• Control app permissions: manage analytics and notifications in your device settings.

• Subscription Information: Symptlify Pro subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Google Play or App Store account settings.

Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our active systems, with backups erased within 90 days.

Note: If you contact us for data deletion requests, please provide the email address associated with your account so we can locate and delete your data.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. Parents or guardians can contact us to request deletion.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date.
