Symptlify – Your Gut Diary (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We collect the following information when you use our app:

• Account Information: an anonymous identifier generated by Supabase to associate your data with your device session. No email address or personal information is required to use the app.

• Health Information: user-entered data such as symptoms and meals logs.

• Device Information: app version, device type, and usage data (for analytics and app improvement).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the core functionality of the app (symptom and meal tracking).

• Create and manage anonymous user sessions.

• Improve app performance and reliability.

• Send optional notifications (which you can disable in settings).

We do not share or sell your data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored securely with Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption (in transit and at rest).

• We retain backups for up to 90 days for security and recovery purposes. These backups are automatically erased after that period.

• Your data may be processed in secure data centers located globally.

4. Your Rights

You can:

• Access or export your data: request a copy of your logged information by contacting us.

• Delete your data: since accounts are anonymous, uninstalling the app and clearing app data will effectively remove your association with any stored data. You can also request data deletion by contacting us. Account Deletion Page.

• Control app permissions: manage analytics and notifications in your device settings.

Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our active systems, with backups erased within 90 days.

Note: If you contact us for data deletion requests, please provide your anonymous user ID (available in app settings) so we can locate your data.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. Parents or guardians can contact us to request deletion.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date.
