About Me
About Me
. I began my musical journey at the very young age of 2. I was immersed in playing the drums and being exposed to the church and gospel as my first introduction to music. I am proud to be a product of Northside schools. As I continued to hone my craft, I started learning music and percussion in 6th grade and carried out my music learning through NISD schools. where my hard work and practice paid off by earning multiple awards and honors such as placing Top 5 in the TMEA All Region Bands and Orchestras since 7th grade as a percussionist. Through high school, I was fortunate enough to place top 10 in TMEA Area Jazz for 2 years as a jazz drum set player and during senior year I was able to place 3rd as a TMEA All-State Percussionist in 2019 which concluded my time in high school. As I am wrapping up my collegiate journey as a music education major, I am fortunate enough to complete my Traditional Clinical Teaching Semester with John M. Harlan High School and HB Zachry Middle School through the UTSA COEHD program. While at UTSA, I was part of many different ensembles such as the Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Indoor drumline, and the Wind Ensemble. Outside of being a percussionist instructor and teaching, I also gig professionally as a drummer and a guitarist. I've had the opportunity to play for award-winning singer Brian McKnight and Grammy award-winning gospel singer Kim Burrell.

During my free time, I like to spend time with my family and my fiancé, work out at the gym, and socialize with friends. I am confident in my abilities and am excited to apply my knowledge and experience to future opportunities. Thank you for your time and consideration.
