Note on poet Rena Priest

Discovered this poet via poets.org.

Rena Priest uses words in a wonderful way. Can't imagine how, but she came up with these lines.

"Dig West Young Jim!"

says the scrawl

in a Grand Central

Terminal tunnel.

Then suddenly

dirt under your nails

is trending, transitional,

initial, impending.

Which I don't pretend to understand. That's fine for now.
