Hyde Park is an urban park located in the central business district of Sydney. It is the oldest public parkland in Australia. The park was built from 1810 to 1927. Hyde Park contains well-kept gardens and approximately 580 trees. The park is 1.5 km2 and its divided into two by the Serpentine lake. This park has three incredible monuments:
It is the centrepiece of Hyde Park. The fountain was designed by François-Léon Sicard and bequeathed by J. F. Archibald in 1932 in honour of Australia's contribution to World War I in France.
It is a heritage-listed war memorial. The monument was designed by C. Bruce Dellit and was built from 1932 to 1934.
It was built together with the ANZAC War Memorial. It was finished with the assistance of Unemployment Relief Funds.
There are 800 different wine varieties and around 250 exhibitors. You can see live cooking demonstrations and masterclasses, so it is guaranteed to end satisfied and to have fun.
