Research Interests:
Hello all,
Thanks for the interest.
The following keywords best describe my research areas:
Carbon–water interactions in Indian agro-ecosystems.
Agricultural water management
Eco-hydrological modeling
Surface energy balance methods
Surface–vegetation–atmosphere transfer modeling schemes
Crop water stress monitoring
Remote sensing and GIS applications in agricultural water management
Specifically, my research addresses the following key challenges:
Multi-scale characterization of carbon, water, and water use efficiency (WUE) fluxes in Indian agro-ecosystems.
Upscaling of energy, carbon, and turbulent fluxes in agricultural croplands using process-based, empirical, and surface energy balance approaches.
Application of Surface–Vegetation–Atmosphere Transfer (SVAT) models for simulating ecosystem-level carbon, water, and WUE fluxes in agricultural systems.
Crop water stress monitoring using in situ observations and space-borne thermal remote sensing techniques.
Application of microwave remote sensing techniques in agricultural water management.
