TECH & RULES – sXd Challenge
No Leaks: Any fluid leak must be fixed before entering the track.
Battery:
Must be securely mounted with a metal bracket (no zip ties/ratchet straps).
Positive terminal must be covered.
Battery must be bolted to the chassis (use large washers if mounted to sheet metal).
Plastic boxes are not acceptable.
Fire Extinguisher:
Required. Must be mounted within driver’s reach using a metal bracket.
Convertibles:
Minimum 4-point roll bar that extends above the driver’s helmet. Applies to passengers too.
Tow Hooks (Front & Rear):
Strongly recommended. We’re not responsible for damage during towing if hooks aren’t installed.
Suspension & Brakes:
All components must be in good condition. Check for play, leaks, seized calipers, and pad wear.
Body Panels:
Must be properly secured. Loose panels must be fixed or removed.
Lug Nuts/Bolts:
All must be present and properly torqued.
Seats:
Must be mounted securely with at least 4 mounting points. Sliding rails are allowed.
Helmet: Snell SA2015 or newer required.
Footwear: Closed-toe shoes required.
Safety Restraints:
Accepted combinations:
Stock seat + stock belt
Bucket seat + stock belt
Bucket seat + 4-point+ harness + harness bar
Bucket seat + 4-point+ harness + cage
Bathrooms: Flush fully—keep them clean.
Schedule: Know your time slot. We won’t track you down.
Grid Access: Only sXd or PAOHNY staff allowed.
Be Ready: Helmets and safety restraints on before entering the track—for both driver and passenger.
Arrive Early: Be at grid 5 minutes before your competition group.
Body Inside Vehicle: Drivers and passengers must keep arms/legs inside at all times.
Passenger Swaps: Must occur off-track. Exit to pit, re-enter grid.
No Drugs/Alcohol: Zero tolerance while driving. Suspected influence = day over.
Behavior: Be respectful. If you're causing problems, you'll be asked to leave.
Wristbands: No wristband = no driving.
Spin Rule: 2 spins = drive the rest of the track as fast as possible to get back in grid and not hold up the line.
Breakdowns/Crashes:
Stay in the car unless there's a fire.
Give a thumbs up if okay, thumbs down or no signal = safety crew deployed.
Clean Up: Keep your area tidy. No tires or heavy trash in bins—use dumpsters.
Driver signals:
Arms crossed (X): Exit to pit.
Thumbs up / arm wave: Go!
Fingers raised (1–10): Number of cars in tandem.
Chop motion: Send full tandem group.
Grid worker signals:
Arms crossed (X): Exit track immediately.
Matching fingers: Confirms tandem count.
Flags:
White: Last run of group.
Red: End of session—exit track.
Tandem Etiquette:
Do not jump into a tandem group without invitation. Violations = sit out the session or day.
