Summertime means a chance to explore new books and e-books, learn new skills, and check out resources, programs and activities through Summer Reading at New York Libraries. It’s the perfect time for students of all ages to see what their local library has to offer! The 2020 summer reading slogan and theme is “Imagine Your Story,” a celebration of fairy tales, folklore, mythology, and sharing your own unique story and voice. This year, libraries across the state will be offering a selection of exciting online and virtual programming – special events, reading challenges, fun activities, and more – throughout the summer months from June through August. To sign up for Summer Reading and find out what YOUR local library has planned for summer reading and summer learning programs, check out your local library’s website . You can also find all sorts of updated information, resources, and activities for summer reading in the tabs above. And don’t forget that your school library has a wealth of fantastic online summer resources too! Libraries across the state look forward to seeing you this year for Summer Reading and Learning 2020! http://www.summerreadingnys.org/
