The name of the organisation shall be South Warwickshire and North Cotswolds Sky Blues Supporters Club ("the Club").
The objectives of the Club are to:
Bring together supporters of Coventry City Football Club living in South Warwickshire, the North Cotswolds and the Banbury area.
Promote friendship, inclusion and community amongst Coventry City supporters.
Organise social events, matchday gatherings and travel opportunities where appropriate.
Support Coventry City Football Club in a positive and respectful manner.
Represent the interests of members where appropriate.
Encourage supporters of all ages and backgrounds to become involved in the Club.
The Club primarily serves supporters residing within the following postcode districts:
CV36
CV37
GL55
GL56
OX15
OX16
OX17
Applications from supporters living outside these postcode districts may be considered at the discretion of the Committee.
Membership is open to anyone who supports Coventry City Football Club and agrees with the aims and objectives of the Club.
Membership shall initially be free of charge.
Applications for membership shall be made using the Club's official membership form.
The Committee reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership where an individual's conduct is considered likely to bring the Club into disrepute or adversely affect the Club or its members.
The Club shall be managed by a Committee consisting of:
Chair
Secretary
Up to five Committee Members
The Committee may co-opt additional members where necessary.
Committee members shall serve until the next Annual General Meeting and shall be eligible for re-election.
The Committee shall:
Manage the affairs of the Club.
Organise activities and events.
Maintain membership records.
Ensure the Club operates in accordance with this Constitution.
Promote the interests of the Club and its members.
Ensure personal information is handled responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
An Annual General Meeting (AGM) shall be held once each calendar year.
Members shall receive at least fourteen days' notice of the AGM.
Extraordinary General Meetings may be called by the Committee or following a written request from at least ten members.
Three Committee members shall constitute a quorum for Committee meetings.
Each member shall be entitled to one vote.
Unless otherwise stated within this Constitution, decisions shall be determined by a simple majority of those present and voting.
In the event of an equal number of votes, the Chair shall have a casting vote.
The Club may undertake activities including, but not limited to:
Organising travel to selected Coventry City home and away matches.
Arranging matchday meet-ups and social events.
Organising televised match watch events.
Inviting current or former Coventry City players, officials or guest speakers to Club events.
Supporting charitable and community initiatives.
Providing information and communications to members.
Promoting a positive image of Coventry City Football Club and its supporters.
Undertaking any other lawful activity consistent with the aims of the Club.
Members shall:
Treat fellow members with courtesy and respect.
Conduct themselves responsibly at all Club activities.
Comply with the rules of Coventry City Football Club and any venue attended.
Refrain from behaviour likely to bring the Club or Coventry City Football Club into disrepute.
The Committee may investigate complaints and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of membership.
The Club shall initially operate on a non-profit basis and shall not charge membership fees.
Should the Club begin collecting subscriptions or other income, appropriate financial arrangements shall be established and reported annually to members.
Any income received shall be used solely to further the aims and objectives of the Club.
This Constitution may only be amended by a two-thirds majority of members present and voting at an Annual General Meeting or Extraordinary General Meeting.
Notice of any proposed amendment shall be provided to members at least fourteen days before the meeting.
The Club may be dissolved by a two-thirds majority of members present and voting at a General Meeting convened for that purpose.
Following the settlement of any liabilities, any remaining assets or funds shall be donated to a charity or community organisation connected with Coventry City Football Club or another charitable organisation selected by the members.
