Welcome!

Sang Won Lee is a postdoctoral researcher at the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation (TIBI) in Los Angeles. He majored in Biomedical Engineering and received B.S. and M.E. degrees from Yonsei University in South Korea. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Bio-convergence Engineering from Korea University in South Korea. Before joining TIBI, he was a research professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Korea University. Also, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in the United States. His research interests can be demonstrated in three things – 1) Electronic-textile (e-textile) sensor for detecting toxicants from the environment, and its application in Human-machine interaction. 2) Biomimetic electrochemical biosensors for continuous healthcare monitoring and the application to wearable/wireless devices. 3) A flexible and disposable exhaled gas sensor for monitoring and early diagnosis of diseases. 4) A wearable, flexible, wireless, and battery-free sensing device for human healthcare monitoring. Currently, in TIBI, his main research focuses on developing flexible and wearable bioelectronic devices for personalized healthcare applications.
