1. INTRODUCTION
Blueprint Studio ("we", "us", "our") operates the SwingTrace mobile application
("SwingTrace", "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use,
store, and protect your personal information when you use SwingTrace, and the
choices you have regarding your data.
By using SwingTrace, you agree to the collection and use of information in
accordance with this policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
• Account information: your email address and name when you create an account
• Profile information: your handicap, home course, and country (optional)
• Payment information: subscription purchases are handled entirely by Google
Play or Apple App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Shot metadata: club selection, carry distance, hang time, tracer settings,
and timestamps for each shot you trace
• Usage data: number of shots traced, app features used, and subscription status
• Device information: device type and operating system version, used solely
for troubleshooting and compatibility
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
• Your golf swing videos are recorded and stored locally on your device only.
They are never uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly share them
using your device's share function.
• We do not use advertising networks, sell your data, or track your behaviour
across other apps or websites.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
• Create and manage your SwingTrace account
• Sync your shot history and profile across your devices
• Enforce free plan limits and verify Pro subscription status
• Restore your account and data if you reinstall the app
• Respond to support requests and communications
• Improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
• Comply with our legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond
operating and improving SwingTrace.
4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your personal
data under the following legal bases:
• Contract performance: to provide the SwingTrace service you signed up for
• Legitimate interests: to improve the app and prevent abuse
• Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws
• Consent: where you have explicitly given consent (e.g. optional profile data)
5. CAMERA AND MICROPHONE
SwingTrace requests access to your device's camera and microphone solely to
record golf swing videos at your direction. We do not access your camera or
microphone in the background or at any time other than during active recording.
Recorded videos are stored on your device and are not transmitted to us.
6. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
Your account and shot data is stored on Supabase (supabase.com), a cloud
database provider that employs industry-standard security measures including:
• Encryption of data at rest (AES-256)
• Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+)
• Access controls and regular security audits
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission
or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you
delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except
where retention is required by law.
Shot metadata may be retained in anonymised, aggregated form for analytical
purposes after account deletion.
8. SHARING OF INFORMATION
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your
data only in the following limited circumstances:
• Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Google Play /
Apple App Store (payment processing). These providers are contractually
bound to protect your data and may not use it for other purposes.
• Legal requirements: if required by law, court order, or to protect the
rights, property, or safety of Blueprint Studio or others.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may
be transferred. We will notify you before your data is subject to a
different privacy policy.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
SwingTrace uses the following third-party services:
• Supabase — authentication and cloud database (supabase.com/privacy)
• Google Sign-In — optional authentication via Google (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Google Play / Apple App Store — payment processing
Each provider operates under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to
review them.
10. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your
personal data:
• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: object to processing of your data in certain circumstances
• Withdrawal of consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it
at any time

11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
SwingTrace is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe
a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us
immediately and we will delete it promptly.
12. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
SwingTrace is operated from Malaysia. If you are accessing the app from
outside Malaysia, your data may be transferred to and processed in Malaysia
or in the country where our service providers operate. By using SwingTrace
you consent to this transfer.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of
significant changes by posting a notice within the app or by email. The
updated policy will be effective from the date it is posted. Your continued
use of SwingTrace after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
