Join us!

We invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 14th at the Lake Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course for a special golf tournament fundraiser benefiting David Shelnutt, who is battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This event is an opportunity for the community to come together and support David and his family during this difficult time.

The tournament will be a scramble format, suitable for golfers of all skill levels, with a shotgun start at 9:00am. The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, range balls, and a post-tournament lunch reception. In addition, there will be a variety of exciting prizes and giveaways throughout the day.

All proceeds from the tournament will go directly to David and his family to assist with the medical expenses and other costs associated with his treatment. This is a fantastic opportunity for golfers to support a great cause while enjoying a day of golf at one of the best courses in the area.

We encourage golfers to register in advance to ensure their spot in the tournament, as space is limited. Donations are also welcome, even for those who are unable to participate in the tournament.

Let's come together to support David and his family, while enjoying a day of golf and camaraderie. Your participation in this tournament can make a significant difference in their lives, and we look forward to seeing you on March 14th at Lake Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course.

About David's Fight

David Shelnutt, is currently fighting Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. As you can imagine, he is exhausting every option of treatment available to him as this is typically a very hard diagnosis to overcome. Along with the treatment he is receiving locally at Emory, he is also flying out to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to see that no stone is left unturned in regards to his case. A group of family and friends have graciously offered to host this golf tournament to help offset the costs of treating this horrible disease as it is a huge financial burden.

My father is a pillar of the Walton county community as my family has lived here and served for generations. It would mean the world to have the community that he pours his heart into rally behind him during this very difficult time.
