Privacy Policy for SwingGrade

SwingGrade ("the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data, permissions, and cloud services used for license management.

1. Overview

SwingGrade is a golf swing analysis app that processes your video content locally on your device. While all video analysis and file storage remain offline and under your control, the App uses a limited cloud connection to manage your subscription status and prevent abuse of the free trial system.

2. VIP Code Validation (Firebase)

To check your VIP codes, SwingGrade uses Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Analytics.

When you enter a VIP code, the App:

• Checks the code against our server to unlock extra features.

• Logs when a code is entered to confirm that the activation was successful.

• Technical ID: To confirm the activation correctly, Firebase Analytics may use a technical ID from your phone (Advertising ID). This is only to help the system recognize the activation on your device.

Note: We do not collect your email, your name, or any other personal information. This process is only for the VIP code.

3. Camera, Videos, and Photos

SwingGrade prioritizes your privacy regarding your personal content.

* Camera: The camera is used only when you explicitly choose to record a new golf swing. No camera data is accessed in the background.

* Videos & Photos: The App accesses your media gallery only to let you select existing videos for analysis.

* Local Processing: All video analysis (drawing lines, measuring tempo) happens locally on your device's processor. Your videos are never uploaded to our servers.

4. File Storage and Backups

SwingGrade requires storage permissions to save your recorded swings and exported clips.

* Video Files: All videos recorded or exported by the App are saved directly to your device's local storage.

* Backup Feature: The "Backup" function in the App creates a local file containing your drawing data and video lists. It does not backup your actual video files to the cloud. You are responsible for transferring your video files if you switch devices.

5. Data Collection and Sharing

We distinguish between your Content (Videos) and your System Data:

• Videos/Images: We do not collect, upload, share, or view your videos. They stay on your phone.

• System Data: We only share the limited technical data mentioned in Section 2 with Google Firebase to ensure the app and VIP system work correctly.

• Third Parties: We do not share your data with advertisers or any other third parties for marketing purposes.
  
  We collect anonymous usage events through Firebase Analytics (such as which screens are viewed and which features are used) to understand how the app is used and to improve it. These events contain no personally identifiable information.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

* Local Data: Videos and analysis drawings stored on your device are removed when you delete them manually or uninstall the App.

* Cloud License Data: Data regarding your free trial history is retained in Firebase to prevent the reactivation of a free trial on the same account.

7. Permissions Explanation

SwingGrade requests the following permissions to function:

* Camera: To record swing videos.

* Storage (Read/Write): To save recordings and open videos for analysis.

* Internet/Network: Strictly used to communicate with Firebase for license/trial verification.

8. Children's Privacy

SwingGrade is not specifically designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our features or legal obligations. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date."
