Can parents participate in the lesson?
Yes, in fact I encourage parents to join in, especially for kids betwen 1.5 and 3! This will help them learn the tools and exercises to continue supporting their child's swimming outside of the lessons.
How much is a lesson?
Louis: $30 for a 30-minute private lesson or $40 for a 30-minute lesson for two children ($20/child) .
John: $25 for a 30-minute private lesson, or $35 or a 30-minute lesson for two children ($17.5/child).
How do you accept payment?
Cash, Venmo (Louis-Haven-2), or PayPal (klfabian379@gmail.com). Credit cards are not accepted at this time.
Do you teach adults?
Yes! We teach adults who never learned how to swim and would like to learn basics.
What age is appropriate to start swim lessons?
Swim lessons can lower the risk of drowning in children ages 1 to 4. By age 1.5, kids will begin getting benefit from swim lessons. By age 4, many kids are able to learn essential water survival skills like floating, treading water, and finding a way out of the water.
Do you travel to teach?
Not at this time. Teacing
Do you teach outside of the Saturday hours?
No. We both have full time jobs, and exclusively teach on Saturday. If we have no availability, feel free to text Louis and request an 8:30am or 11am. If scheduling allows, we will try to accommodate.
I have two kids I want to take lessons back to back, but scheduling is tricky?
We understand. In this instance, we will do everything we can to work with you. Let us know, and we will try to book you at 8:30am or 11am if you're able to snag a 9am or 10:30am.
Where do the swim lessons take place?
Swim lessons are held at the Ellis Crossing clubhouse indoor pool, located at 2115 Watchorn street (see photo below).
