SwimFlow is developed by BG Apps. This policy explains what SwimFlow does and does not do with your information. It is short because the app collects almost nothing.
SUMMARY
Everything you log in SwimFlow - your swims, workouts, plans, goals, records, settings and notes - is stored only on your device. We never receive it, never see it, and it is never uploaded to any server of ours. We do not have accounts, we do not have a server that stores your swim data, and we cannot recover your data for you if you lose your device.
SwimFlow shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. That is the only part of the app that uses the internet, and it is the only part of this policy that concerns data leaving your device.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
The following is stored on your device only, in the app's private storage:
• Swims you log: date and time, distance, duration, stroke, pool length, rest time, effort rating, stroke counts, equipment, calories and any notes you write.
• Workouts, plans and schedules you create, and reminders you set.
• Goals, personal records and computed statistics.
• Your settings: units, default pool length, default stroke, theme, and similar preferences.
You can export this data yourself at any time (Settings - Export, or Backup & Restore). Exported files are written to whatever location you choose using your device's own file picker. SwimFlow does not send them anywhere.
If you uninstall SwimFlow, this data is deleted with the app, unless your device's own Android backup service has copied it to your personal Google account. That backup is controlled by your Android settings, not by us, and we have no access to it.
ADVERTISING
SwimFlow displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob so the app can stay free.
To serve those advertisements, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
• Device or other identifiers, including your device's advertising ID.
• Approximate location derived from your IP address (country or region level; SwimFlow itself never requests location permission and has no access to GPS).
• Technical information about your device, such as its model, operating system version, screen size, and language.
• Information about how advertisements performed, such as whether an advertisement was shown.
This information is handled by Google, not by us. Google's own privacy policy applies to it:

Your swim data is never sent to Google, to any advertiser, or to anyone else. Advertising and your training log are entirely separate inside the app.
YOUR ADVERTISING CHOICES
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, SwimFlow shows you a consent form the first time you open it, provided by Google's User Messaging Platform. You choose there whether advertisements may be personalised. You can change that choice at any time in the app under Settings - Ad privacy options.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device's own settings, under Settings - Google - Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer and Android version).
If you decline personalised advertising, SwimFlow keeps working exactly as before; the advertisements shown are simply not personalised.
PERMISSIONS SWIMFLOW REQUESTS AND WHY
• Internet and network state: required to load advertisements and the consent form. Every feature of SwimFlow works with the device offline or in airplane mode; only the advertisement slot needs a connection, and it simply disappears without one.
• Notifications: only if you set a workout reminder. Asked for at that moment, never at launch. If you decline, everything else still works.
• Alarms and reminders (exact alarm, run at startup): used to deliver workout reminders at the time you chose and to restore them after your device restarts. If you do not grant the exact alarm permission, reminders still work and may arrive a few minutes late.
• Vibration: used for rest-interval and set-complete cues in the poolside workout timer.
SwimFlow does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, Bluetooth, or access to your photos or files. It has no code to use them.
CHILDREN
SwimFlow is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Advertising in SwimFlow is not configured for a child audience.
SECURITY
Your data is held in the app's private storage area, which Android isolates from other apps. Any file you export yourself is stored wherever you chose to save it, and its security is then governed by your device and any cloud storage service you saved it to.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the date at the top will be updated. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
