Title: American Red Cross Lifeguard Blended Learning Class (21.5 classroom hours, 6 hours online)
All Spring 2026 lifeguard classes are now full. Please contact vtlifeguards@gmail.com if you want to be placed on a waiting list. We cannot guarentee an open spot.
The April class is now full.
Class 1: April 18th-19th, 2026 with 7 online hours prior to the start of class
April 18th - 8:00am-7:00pm @ Middlebury College Natatorium
April 19th - 8:00am-7:00pm @ Middlebury College Natatorium
The May class is now full.
Class 2: May 2nd, 3rd & 9th with 7 online hours prior to the start of class
May 2nd - 8:00am-3:00pm @ Mt. Abraham Union High School Pool
May 3rd - 8:00am-3:30pm @ Ferrisburgh Town Hall (Lower Level)
May 9th - 8:00am-3:00pm @ Mt. Abraham Union High School Pool
Cost: $380.00 (Includes hip pack, whistle and CPR mask)
PREREQUISITES - DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS COURSE IF YOU CAN NOT MEET THESE PREREQUISITES:
Be 15 years old by the last day of the course
Pass and complete the online blended learning component of the course
Pass the mandatory in-water, Pre-Skills Assessment. Click HERE to view the in-water skills assessment.

Saturday, April 11th
8:00am-1:00pm (Mt. Abraham Union High School)
1:00pm-5:30pm (Howden Hall, Bristol)
Class 3
Sunday, May 24th
8:00am-5:15pm (Middlebury College Natatorium)
Class 4
Saturday, May 30th
8:00am-1:00pm (Mt. Abraham Union High School)
1:00pm-5:30 (Howden Hall, Bristol)
Cost: $195.00
Prerequisite:
Pass the mandatory in-water, Pre-Skills Assessment. Click HERE to view the in-water skills assessment.
Candidates must hold a current or recently expired certification (no more than 30 days) in any of the following Lifeguarding Courses: Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Lifeguarding for Swimming Pools (including Deep Water), or Waterfront Lifeguarding.
Certification Earned:
Lifeguarding (same type as current/expiring cert)
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
First Aid
All certifications are valid for 2 years upon successful completion.
