Privacy Policy for SwiftSize: Smart Batch Image Resizer
Last Updated: January 30, 2026
SwiftSize ("we," "our," or "the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension handles information when you use our image resizing services.
1. Data Processing and Storage
SwiftSize is designed as a local-first utility.
No Backend Processing: All image processing, resizing, and ZIP file generation are performed locally within your browser using JavaScript and Canvas APIs.
Local Storage: The Extension uses chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.session solely to remember your custom resize presets and UI state across sessions.
No Image Retention: We do not store your images. Once you close the extension side panel or clear your queue, the temporary URLs and image data are cleared from the browser's memory.
2. Information Collection and Use
No Personal Data: SwiftSize does not collect, request, or store any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or location data.
No Usage Tracking: We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics (like Google Analytics) to monitor your activity.
External Image URLs: When you use the "Send to SwiftSize" feature from a website, the extension only processes the image source URL provided by the context menu to display it in the side panel.
3. Third-Party Sharing
Zero Data Transmission: Because the extension operates entirely within the client-side environment (your browser), no data is ever transmitted to us or any third-party servers.
No Third-Party Scripts: All libraries required for the extension (such as JSZip) are packaged locally within the extension files to prevent external network requests.
4. Permissions
SwiftSize requests the following permissions only to facilitate the core resizing functionality:
sidePanel: To provide a persistent UI for image management while you browse.
contextMenus: To allow you to send images to the queue via a right-click.
storage: To save your custom resizing chips and preferences for future use.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
