3. Permissions Explained
INTERNET
Required to load websites, web content, and display advertisements within the app. Without this permission the app cannot function.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Used to check whether your device has an active internet connection before loading pages or ads, preventing unnecessary errors.
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
Used to detect your Wi-Fi connection status to optimize data usage and improve browsing performance.
DOWNLOAD_WITHOUT_NOTIFICATION
Allows files to be downloaded in the background silently without triggering a system notification for every single download action.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below only)
Required to save downloaded files (images, documents, media) to your device storage on older Android versions.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below only)
Required to access and open previously downloaded files stored on your device on older Android versions.
CAMERA
Used exclusively for the QR code scanner feature built into the browser. We do not capture, record, store, or transmit any photos or video from your camera at any time.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Used to send you notifications about completed downloads and important app updates. You can revoke this permission at any time from your Android device settings.
4. Third-Party Services
Swift Browser integrates the following third-party services. Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy and may collect data independently.
4.1 Firebase (Google LLC)
We use Firebase for the following purposes:
Firebase Remote Config — to remotely control app features and ad settings without requiring an app update
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — to send push notifications about updates and offers
Firebase Analytics — to collect anonymous usage statistics to improve app performance

4.2 Google Analytics

5. Advertising
Swift Browser is a free app supported by advertising. Ads are served through Google AdMob and Google Ad Manager. These ads may be personalized based on your interests using your Advertising ID.

Enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
6. Data Retention
We do not store any user data on our own servers. Any data collected by third-party services is retained according to their respective data retention policies. Please refer to each service's privacy policy linked in Section 4 for details.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. Data may be shared only with the third-party services listed in Section 4 as necessary to provide app functionality and advertising.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the integrity of the app. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to review the security practices of each third-party service integrated into the app.
9. Children's Privacy
Swift Browser is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
