Paul H. Akerboom, 49, of New Franken passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007. The son of Alice Schirk and Hendrik Akerboom, Paul was born Feb. 2, 1958, in Green Bay. On May 26, 2001, he married the former Terri Brown in Stafford County. Paul graduated from Southwest High School in 1976. He joined the U.S. Navy and served with Patron 11 in Brunswick, Maine. He graduated in culinary arts from a technical college in Maine. Everyone remembers Paul as being smart, fun loving with a smile always on his face. He was a fun guy for everyone to hang out with and there are fond memories of great times.

Mrs. David (Debra) Malewiski, 53, Green Bay, died Sept. 20, 2011 at a local nursing home. She was born June 18, 1958, to the late Harland and Katherine (Pukall) Anderson in Green Bay. Debra graduated from Southwest High School in 1976, where she had been very active in the music program and fondly remembered her role in the musical "Oklahoma". She attended St. Norbert College on a music scholarship.

In the light of the supermoon on August 2nd, Lynnette Baumgart passed away in hospice, her body taken by pancreatic cancer. In her final hours her husband Don and her son Shawn knelt on either side of her bed, singing to her and holding her hands. Her constant companion, Pepper, snuggled nearby. As she drew her last breaths, she joined them in song, her parting moments filled with the powerful love, music, and beauty she shared with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Born in 1958 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Janice (VanLanen) and Robert Baumgart. Legend has it that she was conceived in a patch of wild blueberries up north. She was one of five daughters and three sons. Lynn is survived by her sisters Therese (Mark), Roseanne (Jeff), Jean (Jerry), and Judy (David) and by her brother’s Jim and Bob (Cheri). She joins her parents, brother Joseph, and her brother-in-law Mark Schelter on the other side.

She was greeted by her grandparents, niece Leah, and her mother Ann “Rita” Foley. What joy there must have been at the gates of heaven! Bonnie was born on June 5, 1958 in Green Bay. She moved to Texas in the 80s where she had her two children, then moved back shortly after so they could get to know their families.

Mark Fisher, age 61, died unexpectedly September 17, 2018, after a short illness. He was born November 20, 1956, to Elizabeth (Harlich) Fisher and Bernard Fisher. Mark was a 1976 graduate of Southwest High School. He worked 16 years for Fisher Bros. Fisheries and 24 years for Robinson Sheet Metal. He was a dedicated volunteer for many years for the National Railroad Museum and had a love for Railroad history. He was also an active collector of various items including coins, railroad trains, along with war and sports memorabilia.

Douglas Christopher James, 51, Green Bay, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009. He was born March 8, 1958, in Portsmouth, Va., to John D. and Joan B. (Engert) James. The family moved to Green Bay in 1966, where he attended Lincoln, Norwood and Jackson Elementary Schools and Lombardi Middle School before graduating from Southwest High School with the Class of 1976. While in middle school and high school, Doug played hockey with the Brown County League and made many hockey friends that were lifelong.
After graduating, Doug entered the U.S. Air Force. He later moved to Denver, Colo., where he raised his daughters and later returned to Green Bay. Doug had been a career truck driver.

Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Certificate in Women's Studies in 1983 from UW Milwaukee. Then subsequently earned her Master's from UW Madison in 1995. She continued her education to become an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber and Certified Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her love for helping others was instilled in everyone she met.

Tom Kammerman, 65 of Florence (formerly of Anderson Lake) passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at his home.
Tom was born June 24 in Green Bay to the late Earl D. “Junior” and Rose Marie (Mayer) Kammerman. He was a graduate of Southwest High School with the Class of 1976. He attended Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and worked at Krueger Metal, 3D Metals, American LaFrance Shawano. Tom also worked at LaForce in Green Bay until medical problems forced him into disability retirement. Tom also worked part time at Bob’s Bait and Tackle in Green Bay. He lived in the Anderson Lake area until his mother’s passing then purchased his dream home on Patten Lake.
Tom was born to fish. He knew every creek and stream around. He also knew the “right spots” to fish on numerous lakes and the “hot” lures to use. In his younger years, he would take an annual backpacking trip to the Boundary Waters with his friend Rick DeMars. He loved the outdoors and once pedal biked around Lake Superior.

John L. Klenke, 65, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2023. John was born on April 25, 1958 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Donald and Carol Klenke. He grew up with six brothers and one sister: Bill, Jim, Bob, Tom, Joe, Shirlyn, and David.
John graduated from Southwest High School in 1976. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1980 and his master's degree in business administration (taxation) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1982. He began his career at Arthur Andersen in Milwaukee then moved to Green Bay and worked at Schneider National for over 20 years where he served in several roles: treasurer, vice president of corporate strategy, division president, and director of corporate tax.
On his 50th birthday, John retired from his executive position at Schneider. Two years later, he ran for public office and served two consecutive terms as a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the 88th district.

He attended Milton College from 1976 through 1979, where he was a key staple and force on the Wildcat’s football team. On May 23, 1980 he married the love of his life, Linda. Together they raised four sons, Steven, Karl, Matthew and Mark.

Jeff Nicklas, 65, of Green Bay, passed away on February 1st, 2024 after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born in Green Bay in 1958 to Vincent and Virginia Nicklas.
Throughout his career, he was a hard worker and made many people smile with his charm and sense of humor. He happily retired from Kenworth in 2020.
Throughout his life, Jeff enjoyed outdoor activities with friends and family whether it was a day of fishing, hunting, an up-north campfire, a stroll through a local flea market, or a fresh air ride on his Harley, to name a few. In his last few years, he dedicated time to helping his aging parents and he found great joy spending time with his granddaughter, Marlo.
Jeff was preceeded in death by his dad, Vince; and is survived by his mom, Virginia; daughter, Terra (Molly); granddaughter, Marlo; siblings, Teresa (Chris), Dave (Cindy), Lisa, and Lynn; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jenny Smith.
A special thanks to the Bellin Cancer Team, Dr. Mansurov and Hannah Alsteen’s team, as well as the staff at Unity Hospice for all the love, care, and support they showed to Jeff during his cancer battle.

Facing a long battle with colon cancer, Peter fought courageously until the end. Even through his most difficult moments, he portrayed a fighting spirit and relentless positivity that will live on with those closest to him.
Peter was born to Robert and Betty Wenner at Queen's Hospital on September 23, 1958, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1981 and the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business in 1988 where he was an adjunct professor from 1999-2000.

David Todd Windmuller passed away in the early morning hours on November 24th. The last few weeks of his life were filled with visits from family and loved ones.
David was born on October 19th, 1957, to Donald and Ruth (Peters) Windmuller in Ames, Iowa. He was raised with his three sisters, Becky, Carolyn, and Kathy in Green Bay, Wisconsin. After graduating from Southwest High School in 1975, he attended Michigan Technological University to study mechanical engineering and graduated in 1979.
A year later he met the love of his life, Kimberly (Agan) Windmuller. They married on November 27th, 1982. Together they had three children, Nicholas David, Nathaniel James, and Kathryn Ann.
