SWETA SHARMA

I am an Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science & Engineering at NIIT University. I teach Machine Learning and Business Analytics to senior BTech students.

I am also pursuing my PhD from Department of Computer Science, South Asian University, India and have submitted in August 2019. I am advised by Dr. Reshma Rastogi (nee Khemchandani). My primary research area is Twin Support Vector Machine, which is a sub-field of Machine Learning. I have designed and implemented several state-of-the-art algorithms which can be useful in a wide range of real-world applications such as activity recognition, large-scale image classification, face recognition and so on.

Prior to joining the PhD program in 2015, I spent 2 more wonderful years in South Asian University while pursuing M. Sc. Computer Science. I am interested in building computer vision models while making a prediction using Machine learning Techniques.

• (3-Oct-2018) Awarded ACM-Women in Computing Travel Fellowship to attend AI 2018 at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
• (21-Oct-2018) Awarded CCSTDS Travel Fellowship to attend AI 2018 at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
