Hi! I’m Chloe, a high school junior from San Francisco and the creator of SWEET Zine. I started SWEET this year because, like many, I noticed the stark underrepresentation of women in STEM fields—and I wanted to do something about it.

STEM has always been a special part of my life. When I was eight, I got a chemistry kit for my birthday that began my curiosity and made me fall in love with science. Now, I want to bring that same spark to other young girls who might just be one experiment away from discovering their passion for STEM!

I’m deeply committed to empowering young girls to explore and embrace STEM subjects. Currently, I’m working on a research project to analyze the societal and environmental factors driving the gender gap in STEM fields here in the U.S. It’s a topic I care about because I believe that fostering diversity in STEM doesn’t just benefit women—it benefits everyone: diverse perspectives are essential to scientific innovation.
