It all began on a fall day in 2020, when a routine trip to a local music store changed everything for Caitlin Bruscino and her family. While trying out guitars, Caitlin and her father, Robert, broke into song—an impromptu performance that caught the ear of another musician in the shop. One spontaneous duet of “Shallow” later, an unexpected spark ignited what would soon become Sweet Harmony.
Encouraged by newfound friends and local fans, Caitlin teamed up with her father Robert and longtime chorus partner Maggie Murray to hit the open mic circuit. Before long, they were sought after for paying performances and joined by fellow Scituate native and percussionist Cooper Prophet, transforming casual performances into a full-fledged acoustic act – from there Sweet Harmony emerged.
Now a South Shore favorite, Sweet Harmony has grown from a family jam into a local music staple—appearing at festivals, coastal venues, and community events throughout the region. Blending youthful energy with seasoned musicianship, the band’s sound bridges Classic Rock, Pop, Alternative, Country, Folk, and Celtic/Irish influences. Their hallmark is the striking vocal chemistry between Caitlin and Maggie, whose harmonies bring every song to life.
Between college breaks and summer shows, Caitlin, Maggie, Cooper, and Robert continue to bring heartfelt, harmony-rich performances to audiences across Massachusetts and making summer appearances in South Florida as well. What started as a serendipitous meeting has become a story of friendship, family, and the joy of making music together—one melody at a time.
Maggie Murray
Maggie Murray brings depth, warmth, and artistry to Sweet Harmony as one of the band’s lead vocalists. A passionate musician and educator, she is currently a junior at the University of Connecticut, pursuing dual degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance under the mentorship of Meredith Ziegler.
At UConn, Maggie stands out as both a leader and performer. She serves as President of UConn Choirs and of the Student National Association of Teachers of Singing (SNATS), and was recently appointed the inaugural Collegiate Liaison for the Connecticut chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Her previous role as President of the UConn ACDA Student Chapter reflects her long-standing commitment to leadership, collaboration, and advocacy in the choral arts.
Maggie’s performance experience includes singing with the UConn Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, and holding choral scholar positions with both the Vernon Chorale and Storrs Congregational Church. In summer 2024, she was one of just 25 singers worldwide selected for the Florence Choral Course, an international program specializing in the Italian Renaissance choral tradition.
A graduate of Scituate High School (MA), Maggie’s passion lies in creating inclusive and inspiring musical experiences. She credits her teachers, mentors, and family for instilling in her a lifelong love of music—a love she shares every time she steps up to the microphone with Sweet Harmony.
Caitlin brings both passion and polish to Sweet Harmony as one of the band’s lead vocalists. A lifelong performer with roots in classical, choral, and theatrical music, she combines technical skill with an infectious energy that lights up the stage.
Currently attending Univeristy of Florida (Gainesville) pursuing a Choral Music Education Major, studying voice under Dr. Brenda Smith, Caitlin performs with the UF Concert Choir, Women’s Chorale, and Symphonic Band, balancing her vocal artistry with her talent on the bassoon. She’s also an active member of the National Association for Music Education and a leader in the Holy Faith Catholic Church Choir, where she often directs responsorial psalms.
Before joining Sweet Harmony, Caitlin built a strong musical foundation through years of choir, band, and theater performances. From leading roles in musicals like Legally Blonde to singing the National Anthem at major community events—including the reopening of the Historic Scituate Lighthouse—her versatility shines in every setting.
When she’s not performing, Caitlin shares her love for the arts as an Irish dance instructor and competitive dancer, having competed at both national and world levels. Her blend of discipline, stage presence, and heartfelt expression makes her an essential part of Sweet Harmony’s signature sound.
Caitlin Bruscino
Cooper Prophet keeps the rhythm and heartbeat of Sweet Harmony as the band’s drummer, bringing dynamic energy and creative flair to every performance. A Scituate native and longtime percussionist, Cooper’s playing balances precision with passion—rooted in his love for both classic jazz and contemporary acoustic styles.
Currently enrolled at Keene State College, Cooper is pursuing studies in videography and film, combining his artistic instincts behind both the camera and the drum kit. At Keene State, he performs with the Jazz Ensemble, earning recognition for standout solo work on jazz standards like Salt Peanuts (Dizzy Gillespie) and Impressions (John Coltrane). Predominantly self-taught, Cooper continues to refine his craft through private study with Steve Cady and George Robinson, mentors who have helped shape his technical confidence and signature style.
A proud graduate of Scituate High School, Cooper credits the school’s vibrant music program for his early development—performing with the Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Orchestral Band throughout his four years. His commitment to creativity extends beyond drumming, as he explores the intersections of sound, rhythm, and storytelling through film.
Onstage with Sweet Harmony, Cooper’s steady groove and improvisational spirit help define the band’s acoustic sound—proving that every melody needs a beat, and every harmony needs heart.
Robert Bruscino brings decades of musical experience, a lifelong passion for guitars, and the kind of energy that comes from simply loving to play, Robert began his musical journey early—starting organ and piano lessons around age nine before moving to bass and guitar in his teens. By sophomore year (Graduated Cardinal Gibbon’s High School, Fort Lauderdale, FL Class of ‘83), he had formed his first band, Tourists, kicking off a string of projects that would keep music a steady thread throughout his life. Over the years, he performed with bands including Ground Zero and The Limit, as well as in duos like Cleveland Clyde and occasional solo appearances.
Influenced by classic and alternative rock icons such as The Who, Pink Floyd, Cheap Trick, Crowded House, and The Beatles, Robert’s style blends the best of classic rock, pop-rock, country, folk, and Celtic sounds. Though his father once nudged him toward a more traditional career path—asking the timeless question, “Do you want to be a starving musician?”—his love of music never faded.
Today, alongside his role as Vice President for a technology professional services firm serving enterprise clients in construction, real estate, services, and manufacturing, Robert continues to follow his musical passion as guitarist and vocalist with Sweet Harmony. What began as casual father-daughter performances with Caitlin in 2014 grew into open mics with Caitlin and Maggie in 2020 and, ultimately, the founding of Sweet Harmony in 2021. For Robert, playing with the band is both a return to his roots and a new chapter—proof that good music, family, and friendship make the perfect harmony.
