Thibodaux, Louisiana is a city located in the northwestern part of Lafourche Parish. Home to Nicholls State University and the historic Edward Douglass Whitehouse.
Thibodaux’s history is enriched with deep creole and Cajun roots dating back to the 1800s.
The town was incorporated in 1830 under the name Thibodauxville but was later changed to Thibodeaux in 1838. It wasn’t until 1918 that the spelling we use today, Thibodaux, was incorporated.
