Glass from Småland aboard the royal ship Vasa

A small but beautiful detail from Orrefors, Småland, now graces the restored Vasa: eight leaded, mouth-blown windows crafted to match 17th-century originals.

Artist Eva Fidjeland recreated the special refraction, irregularities, and subtle colours of period glass — so the new panes blend perfectly with the ship's historic stern castle interiors.

Craft, history, and light reunited in Stockholm's famous Vasa Museum.
