Please read these Rules and Terms thoroughly before submitting your film. By entering your film into the "Sanskriti World Cinema Utsav" competition, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to abide by these Rules and Terms.
1. Eligibility:
Submissions are open to filmmakers from all nationalities and backgrounds.
Films of any genre, language, or format are eligible for submission.
Non-English films must have English subtitles.
Only films completed between January 1, 2021, and March 31, 2025, are eligible, without restrictions on content, subject matter, or country of origin. There is no premiere requirement, and films distributed on platforms like YouTube or OTT services qualify for submission.
2. Submission Guidelines:
All films must be submitted via Google Drive link or Film Freeway or FestHome. Late submissions may be accepted with an additional fee.
A non-refundable submission fee must be paid at the time of submission. Fee amounts vary depending on the submission category and deadline (e.g., early bird, regular, late).
Directors and producers may submit multiple films in a single category or across different categories simultaneously. However, each submission must include a separate entry form and fee. Any individual or organization holding rights to the film may submit multiple entries.
“Sanskriti World Cinema Utsav” reserves the right to refuse any entry. Fees will not be refunded if a filmmaker submits their film in the incorrect category. Films submitted without the appropriate fees or submission media may be deemed ineligible at the discretion of the programming or executive director.
“Sanskriti World Cinema Utsav” does not cover any expenses incurred by filmmakers.
3. Film Categories
Feature Film: Films over 125 minutes.
Short Film: Films under 40 minutes.
Documentary: Films under 40 minutes.
Music Video: Maximum duration 12 minutes.
4. Submission Materials
A secure screener link (Google Drive link, YouTube) with no password protection.
A high-quality poster or promotional image (minimum resolution: 11.75 inch x 17.75 inch 300 DPI and RGB Colour Mood ).
Synopsis of the film (max 60 words).
Director’s biography and filmography (max 60 words)..
5. Selection and Notification
A panel of industry experts will review films, and the festival reserves the right to select films for screening.
Notifications regarding selection will be sent by Email, WhatsApp, and our official Social Media networks, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Decisions made by the selection committee are final and cannot be contested.
Submission of your film to “Sanskriti World Cinema Utsav” does not guarantee selection. Official selections, nominees, and winners will be permanently listed on our official social media & website. All winning films will receive a trophy, award, or certificate.
6. Screening and Rights
By submitting, filmmakers grant the festival the right to screen their film during the festival dates.
Filmmakers retain all rights to their work. Selected films may be screened (up to five screenings) in various cities across India on a non-commercial basis. Excerpts (up to 60 seconds) from any film may be used non-commercially for promotional purposes.
7. Submission Fees
Submission fees are non-refundable, irrespective of the film’s selection status.
Ensure the correct submission fee is paid based on the category and deadline. Submissions without the required fee will not be considered.
Please note that we do not provide application fee waivers; all filmmakers are treated equally. Selected films will be screened as per the decision of the festival.
8. Content Guidelines
Films that contain offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content will be disqualified.
The filmmaker is responsible for ensuring that all content (music, footage, etc.) used in the film is free from copyright infringement.
“Sanskriti World Cinema Utsav” may amend these Rules and Terms without prior notice. Any amendments will become effective immediately. It is the submitter's responsibility to check for updates periodically.
9. Attendance (Optional)
Filmmakers are encouraged to attend the festival to engage with audiences and participate in Q&A sessions.
Travel and accommodation are the filmmaker’s responsibility.
10. Agreement
By submitting a film, the participant agrees to abide by the "Sanskriti World Cinema Utsav"'s rules and regulations.
The festival reserves the right to update or amend the rules and regulations as needed.
