About us ...

Most of our members are from the Bridgwater and Taunton area of Somerset who enjoy walking in the local hills and countryside.

The Club was formed over 30 years ago.

We walk on alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays and on most Sundays.

Our annual subscription is:

£5 from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.

Come and join us for 2 or 3 taster walks.

We walk for fun and to enjoy the scenery and conversation. This means the pace is that of our slowest members.

Our walks are typically between 4 and 6 miles, starting at 10.45am and finishing around 1.30pm. We always have a picnic lunch - and perhaps a cuppa afterwards.

You will need suitable footwear, waterproofs and a rucksack for your personal effects and your lunch.

All our walks are led by our Members who have local knowledge of their chosen area.

The Leader and Backmarker keep in touch and wear HiViz jackets so they are easily identified. This is also of benefit when we are on roads.

The description of the walk in the Programme helps members to decide if it is suitable.

The difficulty of our walks varies from flat, undulating, several climbs to hilly.

Only Registered Assistance Dogs are allowed on our walks.
