I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. My research looks at issues related to diversity, inclusivity and labor productivity with a gender lens. I use experimental research designs to answer questions in the domians of Personnel, Development and Labor economics. My recent work critiques the existing screening and assessment processes across different domains. Currently, I am looking at leadership, team productivity and gendered attitudes in stereotyped masculine domains by fusing experimental design with AI and ML techniques. Prior to joining IGIDR, I worked as a Principal Project Scientist at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. I completed my Ph.D. in quantitative economics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi followed by a Post Doc at the Institute of Economic Growth Delhi.
I have a passion for primary research, impact evaluations and policy relevant studies for the marginalized communities. I like to combine concepts from sociology, psychology, cognitive and behavioral sciences with experimental methods.
