Intelligent Reflecting Surface: In present communication models, the channel between the sender and the receiver is a ' big unknown'. Not anymore. IRS promises to come in between the transmitter and receiver and reflect the incoming beam toward the receiver. This way, we can modulate the channel according to our needs and get the maximum performance. IRS is purported to be one of the key enabling technologies of 6G communication. My research involves studying the impact of using IRS in different communication scenarios.
AI enabled Wireless Communication: While AI has pervaded most aspects of our lives, the integration of AI in the Physical Layer continues to evade us. The use of AI models promises to significantly reduce the burden of computation in this age of ever-increasing user density. I intend to incorporate State-of-the-art AI models to solve wireless communication problems and study their impact, vis-à-vis classic communication models.
Visible Light Communication: The idea of using some high-frequency visible light in place of radio frequency in short-range indoor communication has gained some traction. VLC promises to provide faster communication at low-power. My research involves integration VLC with IRS and AI models to create a low-power, intelligent modern communication system
