Hello! I am excited to be able to introduce myself. My name is Lindsay Swartzendruber, and live with my husband, Jeff, our two boys, and dog in Kalona. My husband, Jeff, is a physical therapist in town, and my children, Jace and Charlie, attend school in the Mid-Prairie Community School District.
Family is incredibly important to me, and we live very close to many family members, who have been a big support to us throughout the years. We stay busy in many community activities, and attend many of our children's baseball and basketball games.
Our family loves the outdoors, and enjoy spending time fishing, swimming, taking our dog on walks, and biking. We also love to travel! This past winter we were excited to take our boys to Mexico for a vacation and enjoy family time together.

My undergraduate program at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), sparked my love of teaching students with special needs. In my program, I completed 119 semester hours of work, including two student teaching placements in Virginia. During my time at EMU, I was able to study abroad in South Africa for a semester, and work in an alternate school for Harrisonburg Public Schools. These experiences only added fuel to my need to support those individuals in our community who need the most support. I graduated with a major in special education (Strategist: I), a minor in psychology, and was nominated "Teacher of Promise" by my professors at EMU.
