I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Dutch Institute for Emergent Phenomena (DIEP) and the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED), University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I am based within the Theoretical and Computational Ecology group at IBED. Prior to this, I was a  Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral fellow with the Environmental Sciences Group at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, The Netherlands.  Although my training is in mathematics, the complexities in biology fascinate me. My research mainly revolves around using mathematical and computational tools to address questions concerning ecology, evolution and epidemiology.
