At Swapr, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe, transparent thirfting experience. This policy outlines how we handle your data.
### 1. Data Collection
We collect only the minimum data required to provide our service: your name, email address (used solely for authentication), an optional profile picture, and an optional phone number to enable WhatsApp communication with your matches. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
### 2. Your Photos & Images
Photos you upload for your listings are stored securely on Cloudinary. We do not use your images for any purpose other than displaying them in your listing. When you delete a listing, its images are immediately and permanently removed from our servers — not archived, not cached, gone entirely.
### 3. Automatic Listing Deletion
All item listings, along with their associated images, are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers after 5 days. This ensures the marketplace stays fresh and your data does not linger beyond its usefulness.
### 4. Account & Full Data Deletion
When you delete your account, ALL of your data is permanently erased — including your profile, all listings, all uploaded images, and any associated records. This deletion is immediate and irreversible. We retain no backups, archives, or copies of your personal data after this action.
### 5. Location Data
We use your device's location to show you items nearby. Your precise GPS coordinates are never shared with other users or stored on our servers. Only an approximate locality name (e.g., city) is saved and displayed to others.
### 6. Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Authentication is handled by Firebase, which is compliant with industry-standard security practices. We do not store your passwords.
