Swap & Support is a community-driven charity focused on sustainability and giving back. While clothing swaps are at the core of what we do, we also host book swaps, plant swaps, and other events that help reduce waste and bring people together. After each event, the unclaimed items are donated to organizations serving survivors of domestic violence, at-risk children, veterans, people facing homelessness, and other vulnerable communities. Our mission is to support both people and the planet, one swap at a time. Come and join our community and find your new favorite pieces today for FREE while supporting local charities and the environment.

Our Biggest Swap Yet – Merritt Island, FL
Swap & Support returned to Merritt Island this summer, and it was record-breaking! With the generous support of local small business, Urban Defense Advisory Group, who sponsored our space, we hosted our biggest clothing swap ever right here on the Space Coast.
In just one morning, we saved over 2,000 items from going to waste — beating our entire total from all of last year in a single swap! Over 1,000 items were donated to House of Hope, providing free clothing to local individuals and families in need.
We even gave away a free TV and tons of pet supplies like beds, ramps, and more. Huge thank you to everyone who came out to swap, support, and make this our most successful event yet. We love seeing our hometown show up for sustainability and community!
Alabama Expansion!
Swap & Support hosted our first-ever Alabama clothing swap this spring in Dothan — and it was a wonderful success! Locals gathered to exchange clothes that made them feel confident while helping reduce waste and support the community financially. We also received our first event donor, a big thank you to McKenna W. for her generosity! We'd also like to shoutout the local ACOM medical students that came out to show their support.
After the swap, about 200 items were donated directly to Moma Tina's Mission House, where they will be given free to individuals and families in need. We're excited to keep growing in the Southeast and are so grateful to everyone who made this event special!
The December clothing swap was our first swap on Florida's east coast, featuring our president's hometown! This swap put us well over our 2024 goal, with more than 800 items recycled! 500 plus items went to the Grace United Methodist Church's clothing closet, which offers clothing to those in need for free. A big thank you to the Merritt Island community for our most successful swap yet! Shoutout to Mary and her daughter, Coach Campbell, Coach Callahan, Deborah, Noelle, and everyone who volunteered from the community, we appreciate you!
The July clothing swap was the last swap on Florida's west coast! We saved just over 100 clothing items! Half of that amount went to a non-denominational ministry to be handed out directly to the unhoused population.
The May clothing swap was was our biggest swap yet and put us just under our 2024 goal only 5 months into the year! We saved just under 400 clothing items! A portion of the donated items went directly to a local family in need while the remaining items supported Faith Cafe.
The April clothing swap was a huge success and put a dent in the fast fashion crisis! We saved over 300 clothing items and donated close to 150 items. The donated items supported two charities, one focusing on the unhoused population in Hillsborough county and one dedicated to low-income or in crisis school-age children.
