The University of Bradford is the sponsor for this study.
We will be using information from you and/or your linked data sources (if you consented to this) in order to undertake this study and will act as the data controller for this study. This means that we are responsible for looking after your information and using it properly.
This study based in the United Kingdom and personal information will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.
The lawful basis for processing this information is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller. In this case the task is research which is specified in the University’s charter as one of the purposes for which the University exists.
A further lawful basis is required for special category personal data which personal data which reveals racial or ethnic origin and data concerning health. In this case, that lawful basis is that it is necessary for scientific purposes.
Your rights to access, change or move your information are set out in the General Data Protection Regulation. Your rights are balanced against our ability to conduct our research. If you withdraw from the study, we will keep the information about you that we have already obtained. To safeguard your rights, we will use the minimum personally-identifiable information possible.

The University of Bradford will collect information from you and from other linked data sources if you have provided consent for us to obtain further information from those linked data sources.
The sole purpose for collecting this information is for this research study in accordance with the approved research project document which has been approved by the appropriate University panels.
The University of Bradford will use your name, and contact details to contact you about the research study, and make sure that relevant information about the study is recorded for your care, and to oversee the quality of the study.
If you have agreed for linked data sources to be accessed by the University, the organisations managing the linked data sources will pass these details to the University of Bradford along with the information collected from you and/or your linked sources.
The only people in the University of Bradford who will have access to information that identifies you will be people who need to contact you to invite you to take part in other research studies you may be interested in, to contact you about taking part in follow-up surveys, to conduct data linkage, or to audit the data collection process. The people who analyse the information will not be able to identify you from the information they have access to and will not be able to find out your name or contact details.
Your information may be provided to regulatory organisations where they have a legal or regulatory right to access it to audit or check the accuracy of the research study.
The University of Bradford will keep your personal data from this study (i.e. information which identifies you and which is about you) for 12 months after the study has finished.
