The Socioemotional Well-being & Affective Neuroscience Lab (SWAN Lab), directed by Dr. Yiyi Zhu in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences at City University of Hong Kong (CityU), bridges health psychology, social psychology, and neuroscience to investigate how emotional well-being, health, and sociocultural factors are interconnected. We use a multi-method, multi-level approach—combining behavioral assessments, neural measures (fMRI), and physiological indicators—to uncover how emotional well-being evolves over time and contributes to health in diverse social contexts.
