Class Overview:

Video Game Design

Students will explore one of the largest industries in the global marketplace and the new emerging careers it provides in the field of technology. Students will learn gaming, computerized gaming, evolution of gaming, artistic aspects of perspective, design, animation, technical concepts of collision theory, and programming logic. Students will participate in a simulation of a real video game team while developing technical proficiency in constructing an original game design.


Information Technology

Students will learn safety, security, and ethical issues in computing and social networking. Students will also learn about input/output systems, computer hardware and operating systems. Students will work with an integrated office software suites called Microsoft Office and Google Applications. Students will learn intermediate Word Processing, Presentation, and Spreadsheet skills.  Students will also be introduced to computer programming, coding applications, and programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.
