Swamp Elite Retreat was born from a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by our nation's active military, veterans, and their families. Founded in 2017 by the Haynes family, a multigenerational family of veterans, Swamp Elite Retreat grew from a grassroots initiative into Louisiana’s premier veteran‑owned and operated retreat for military families.
Starting as a small grassroots initiative, Swamp Elite Retreat grew with the dedication of volunteers and the generous support of the community. As a 501(c)(3) charity, we provide tailored retreats for active‑duty military, National Guard and Reserve units, veterans, spouses, children and caregivers. Our programs focus on post‑deployment decompression, PTSD recovery, family counseling, career transition support and recreational therapy in a serene Louisiana setting
