PG INTERNSHIP: INDO US OBAMA SINGH 21stKnowledge Century Initiative Grant Project (NITT).
Project Title: “Cognitive Based Curriculum Development Tool for Emerging Areas of Computer Science Engineering and Management Studies for Improving Teaching and Learning Process”.
In the above project, I have worked in a module named “Facial Expressions and Emotion detection” during the period from July 2014 to April2014.
During the internship period. I have learned the basics of image processing with practical implementation using various software packages.
PG PROJECT: An Intelligent System for Automatic Facial Expression and Recognition.
This system was proposed to detect the human emotions through facial expression and recognition.
It consists of three phases: Face detection, Feature point extraction and Classification using SVM.
Benchmark datasets are used for training and testing purpose; the effectiveness of the techniques is assessed in terms of their discrimination accuracy.
UG INTERNSHIP: Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE) a Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
I have learned the working of Commander, Gunner, Driver and Loader hardware components in the Arjun Main Battle Tank during the internship period from 01-Dec-2011 to31- May-2012.
UG PROJECT: Project titled: Computer Aided Commander Training Software for Arjun Main Battle Tank.
The project defines the design and implementation of computer-aided Commander Training Simulator (CTS) for Arjun Main Battle Tank (MBT).
The core objective of this project is to train the commander, on various functions of controls, switches and other hardware systems with the procedures to be followed while firing, surveillance and navigation operations of the battle tank in the war field.
This self-learning system also enables the commander to get practice on the functions of various switches and controls present in the commander compartment of MBT using soft panel simulation with visual and aural effects to train the commander in the virtual battle field environment.
